Splendor Soireé Haruka
iDOLM@STER is a series that is near and dear to my heart, and Haruka is my best girl by far! I love her for her determination to always do her best, but I also respect her for the anxiety and self-doubt she fights to overcome. Making her Splendor Soireé outfit was so much fun, and being able to cosplay as her alongside my friends Barracuda and Liebs was one of the absolute best cosplay experiences I’ve ever had!
A huge shoutout to Angel Hearts for their assistance with deciding how to approach these outfits, as well as to Nessa for her hard work in casting the belt buckles. Additional pieces (stars, brooches, and strap diamonds) were cast by Barracuda.
We used a matte blue satin and stretch sequins for the dresses. Both skirt tiers had horsehair braid incorporated in the lower hems to define the ruffles. The peachskin we used for the belt, scarves, and hair fascinators was dyed by Barracuda. All of us self-drafted our dresses and collaborated to design the additional accessories to ensure they would match.
For Haruka, I wore an Inigo in Spanish Brown from Arda Wigs.
