Hello, everyone! I’m Nina, a 27-year-old costumer, Twitch Creative Partner, and writer, hailing from the Mitten State.
I’ve been sewing since 2007. I’m primarily self-taught, save for the garment construction classes I took while earning my undergrad degree in Fashion Design. My work is by no means flawless, but my focus is to choose projects that challenge my skills so I can continue to learn. The goal is progress, not perfection — and actually finishing projects, if nothing else!
When I’m not sitting at my sewing machine, I enjoy writing; streaming my creative projects on Twitch; indulging in League of Legends or Final Fantasy XIV; or exploring the outdoors with my hiking companion. I thoroughly enjoy traveling, too, and I hope to see more of the world in the coming years!
I’m so glad you’ve stopped by! If you have anything to say, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or send me a message. Also, if you want to stay in touch, you can find me on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram as @fawnina.
If you’re new here, catch up on my favorite posts. Feel free to leave requests or ideas for future posts, too; I’m always open to hearing suggestions, thoughts, concerns, hopes, dreams, and the occasional witty pun.
About the Blog
This is my little corner of the ‘net for documenting my creative projects in one convenient space. I want to share my progress as I try to improve my skills in hopes of helping other artists learn alongside me. Additionally, it’s a spot to share my thoughts and advice on anything I think may be beneficial for other costumers. All of the content on this website is provided without cost; there is no fee required to access tutorials, view photos, or read project write-ups. To use an old idiomatic expression, I’m a “jack of all trades, master of none,” but hopefully sharing my work is beneficial to a few folks out there, at the very least!
