Tifa Lockhart
Long ago, when I first played FFVII, I always wanted to cosplay Tifa… but I was told I wasn’t busty enough, I wasn’t pretty enough, I just couldn’t “do her justice” for a variety of reasons. So I always was too scared to even try. But with the announcement of the FFVII Remake, I knew I just had to give it a shot! And I’m so, so glad I did. Every time I’ve worn Tifa, I’ve had an amazing time, and I’m very grateful for those memories.
First and foremost, I had to create a fake prosthetic chest. I created foam breast forms and covered them with latex, then I sandwiched the chest pieces in-between the two layers of spandex used to sew the white thank top. The entire shirt and chest is all one item.
I used McCalls M6254 to create the pattern for the fingerless gloves (made from red stretch pleather). The “Materia” were created using EasyCast Resin and FW Ink.
The skirt was made using black stretch pleather, while the sleeves were made from black milliskin. I made the suspenders from brown upholstery vinyl. All of the armor pieces were made from EVA foam.
